Trying to make a difference.
JVA Charity Day on 8 October raised a total of over £48,000. I am enormously grateful for the support of our clients and counterparties in making this inaugural event such an outstanding success.
The proceeds have been split: 70 % to Children of Watamu, the Kenyan children’s charity; and 10% each to CureAHC, Noman, and Metoo&co. I have been deeply touched by the letters of thanks (attached below) which I have received from each of these charities.

NOMAN raises awareness about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) related cancer epidemic in men and women, and campaigns for universal HPV vaccination. HPV causes 5% of all cancers.
Metoo&co is a parent-led charity in south west London which aims to help children and young people with additional needs arising from autistic spectrum disorder, Down’s syndrome, hearing or visual impairment, cerebral palsy, developmental delay and rare or undiagnosed syndromes.
