  • Our team

    Francis Asher.

Francis Asher, CEO and Founder of JVA Brokers, was formerly Director of Base and Precious Metals with ICAP, one of the world’s leading broker dealers in financial products. His expertise and understanding of commodities are based on over ten years as a broker and trader. His career began in 2003 in the back office of Manro Haydan Trading, a proprietary trading firm, where he became trading assistant to the Chairman and went on to run his own proprietary trading book for the firm.

In 2009, Francis was approached by ICAP to help start their new LME desk with a particular focus on options. Over four years the team had grown from six to 20 in three locations, with Francis heading up the options desk in London. Francis resigned from ICAP in January 2013 to take time out of the markets and spent three months volunteering at an orphanage in Kenya.

Since May of 2016 Francis sits as a member on the Traded Options Committee (TOC) at the London Metal Exchange (LME).
